3. Presidents of the United States by The Editors of Time For Kids

Moving up to grades 3 – 8, this text provides an overview of all of our country’s presidents from the first through the 45th. The information is presented in a multitude of ways, including illustrations, famous quotes, and timelines. It even goes over the election process and the branches of government.

 

4. The Smithsonian Book of Presidential Trivia edited by Amy Pastan

This fun book of facts provides readers with record holding trivia about every president through 2017. It’s full of photographs and even includes some of the artifacts from The Smithsonian Museum.

 

5. Weird-But-True Facts About U.S. Presidents by Arnold Ringstad

Here’s another presidential trivia book, but this one focuses on the more obscure facts about the men who have served as leaders of our country. It includes presidential firsts, such as the first president to own a phone, as well has sharing some of their favorite hobbies like collecting marbles. With its colorful cartoon illustrations, this book is sure to entertain elementary level children.

 

6. What is the President’s Job? by Allison Singer

This is a leveled reader recommended for children ages 5 – 7, but could easily be used for children a little older. It explains the varied responsibilities of the president, and gives them a snapshot of a day in the life of a president is really like.
