I absolutely love the idea of an advent calendar. First of all, it gives the kids a sense of the timing coming up to Christmas. It gives them the sense that this is something to look forward to and has significance. Moreover, it helps to build up the excitement for the holiday season.
That said, I also love that this particular calendar actually matches the religious significance of Christmas. But to make it even better, this is Playmobil, a brand that is known for its top-notch quality and innovative design. I am probably the biggest Playmobil fan in the world, and for good reason. They’re perfectly designed for happy little hands and happy little kids.
Now, you have in one pretty package, the classic and thought out design of Playmobil with a Christmas theme. When people are complaining about cancelling Christmas, this is ridiculous. Look at this? It’s a nativity. You can’t get more Christmas oriented than the actual baby Jesus sitting in a happy nativity scene. It’s a great way to teach kids about the true meaning of Christmas and to keep them engaged in the story of the birth of Jesus.
And like I said, it’s classic Playmobil so you know this is going to basically last for a few generations until the kids start to lose one or two of the pieces! It’s a great way to create a new family tradition that can be enjoyed by all ages for years to come.
