Sesame Place: The Season Opens May 2nd!

Can you tell me where to go for family fun for everyone? Well I already know: Sesame Place in Langhorne PA. Our family spent some time there over the holidays and took advantage of their “Very Furry Christmas”. You enter a beautifully decorated winter wonderland, check out Cookie Monster’s rides, the parks awesome Christmas shows, try some tasty holiday treats and shop of course! My family really enjoyed “Elmo’s Christmas Wish”, a fun live show that talks about all the character’s Christmas wishes. 1-2-3 Christmas Tree was an awesome light show complete with Christmas Carols at the end. Of course the “Neighborhood Street Parade” filled us with the spirit and meaning of Christmas like only Sesame can do. These fun winter events run November 21-December 31st. Of course Halloween events are also available!

The park re-opens May 2nd and is celebrating 35 years of family memories! My little one’s adore Elmo’s World and Cookie’s Monster Land (I love how all the rides are age appropriate; even the cute roller coasters can be fun for everyone). Cookies and milk with the characters was the perfect way to a great character photo opportunity. All your favorites (Cookie Monster, Elmo, Abby, Big Bird and my personal favorite The Count) come to see you at your table and the kids can hug them all they want!

New for 2015 will be their “Neighborhood Birthday Parade” a perfect way to celebrate your little one’s big day with cupcakes, balloons, you name it! Elmo’s Eatery has had some renovations complete with more seating and table service. The Count brings us three new rides sure to make my little one’s happy and we can’t wait to see it all!. Of course the “Sunny Day Guarantee” is always in play; if it rains for more than one continuous hour you may grab your “sunny day ticket” for entry on another day.

Park hours are usually 10am to 6 pm (Sunday-Friday) and 10 am to 8 pm on Saturdays; please check out their website for hours by specific date and of course for show times. You can also check out hotel information in the area, shop, check out dining options and purchase tickets, parking and season passes! My personal tip: go for the VIP Parking. Your tired feet will thank you later! Run don’t walk to
