This past weekend, we experienced the magic of A Charlie Brown Christmas: Live on Stage at Orlando Family Stage — and it was pure holiday joy for both kids and adults.
From the moment we walked in, the theater’s festive atmosphere set the tone. The intimate seating means every family has a great view, and ticket options cater to different budgets, making it an accessible holiday outing.
Audience interaction steals the show! Kids went wild during the snowball fight scene as foam snowballs and beach balls flew into the crowd. After intermission, Snoopy even danced with a lucky little audience member — delighting everyone in the theater.
Standout performances: Snoopy was hilarious, bringing the beloved dog to life with antics that had everyone laughing. Lucy lit up the stage with energy and mischief, making key scenes unforgettable. Together, they captured the spirit of the Peanuts gang perfectly.
The play balances humor, holiday music, and heartwarming moments, keeping both kids and adults engaged. A themed scavenger hunt during the show added another layer of fun, with kids earning cute stickers for their efforts.
Good news, Orlando Family Stage announced additional performances due to record-breaking demand:
- December 26–28: Three extra days of shows
- Weekday daytime performances: December 4–19
This year is extra special, marking 75 years of the Peanuts comic strip and 60 years of the original TV special. Artistic Director Jeff Revels shared, “Families relax, they laugh together, and for a little while the whole room feels connected.” Executive Director Chris Brown adds, “They’ve grown up with us, and we’re honored to bring them to life for a new generation.”
