Bertolli Dress & Drizz Makes Me Feel Fancy (Even When I’m Just Making Toast)

I never thought I’d use the words “olive oil” and “fun” in the same sentence, but here we are. Bertolli, the world’s number one olive oil brand and proud owner of 160 years of culinary bragging rights, just launched something called Dress & Drizz. It’s basically their famous extra-virgin olive oil- now in a squeeze bottle. You know, the kind you use for ketchup. Except this one doesn’t live in your fridge door, it lives in your kitchen dreams.

Apparently, the olive oil industry is going through a “squeeze bottle revolution.” I didn’t realize we needed one, but I guess all revolutions start with confusion. Bertolli’s new Dress & Drizz promises to make home cooks feel “empowered,” which is exactly how I like to feel while nervously eyeballing the pan and praying I don’t burn the garlic. The bottle itself is made from 100% recycled plastic, which is perfect for anyone who wants to feel smugly sustainable while sautéing onions.

The design features textured sides for that perfect one-handed grip. It’s oddly satisfying- like holding a power tool for the first time, but instead of building a shed, you’re artfully drizzling EVOO over a sad pile of lettuce. The precision nozzle gives you just the right amount every time, which is great because I’ve been known to “free pour” my olive oil like an overenthusiastic bartender.

Flavor-wise, it’s classic Bertolli: rich, aromatic, and Mediterranean enough to make me believe I belong on a Tuscan terrace instead of hunched over my countertop. The “Dress” part works for salads, and the “Drizz” part works for everything else- bread, pasta, grilled veggies, or straight onto your ego when you finally nail that perfect sear.

I’ll admit, I laughed when I first saw it. Olive oil in a squeeze bottle? What’s next—truffle butter in a spray can? But after using it for a week, I get it. It’s clean, easy, and- dare I say- elegant. The fact that it’s recyclable and Non-GMO Project Verified makes it even better. This is olive oil for people who want luxury without the mess or the price tag.

After all, 160 years of olive oil mastery shouldn’t require you to wrestle with a slippery glass bottle. And if this is what “Mediterranean Good Living” looks like, I’m absolutely here for it- preferably with a loaf of bread and no witnesses.
