HP rates the Smart Tank 7600 series at up to 15 pages per minute for black printing and up to 9 pages per minute for color, but the practical benefit is simpler: you hit print, and the job starts moving without a long ceremonial pause. It also runs very quietly, and that makes a bigger difference than it sounds. A printer often ends up in a home office, kitchen corner, or shared family space, so it’s appreciated when it works without sounding like a small industrial machine. You can print while somebody is on a call nearby without feeling like you need to apologize for the appliance. Quiet technology is underrated because the best office gear is usually the gear you stop noticing.

HP Software Makes Everyday Jobs Easy

The software side of a printer can make or break the whole experience, and HP gets a lot right here. The HP app is intuitive enough that scanning, checking the printer, and handling routine jobs do not feel buried behind layers of menus. The 7600 series also combines printing, copying, scanning, faxing, wireless connectivity, an automatic document feeder, and automatic two-sided printing in one machine. That makes it useful for more than the occasional homework page or return label. The fewer gadgets competing for desk space, the better.

The printer also handles automatic two-sided printing, which is useful for longer documents and cuts down on paper without requiring manual gymnastics. None of these features are particularly flashy on their own, but together they make the printer feel designed for repeated real-world use. The HP Smart Tank 7600 series does the thing we most want a printer to do: it quietly gets on with the job. Setup is easy, the software makes sense, pages come out quickly, and the machine is impressively quiet while doing it. In a category famous for creating unnecessary household tension, being boringly dependable is actually a compliment. Sometimes the best printer feature is simply not having to think about the printer.
