Infiniti QX60 Review of Camera Comfort and Controls

Our 2023 Infiniti QX60 review came down to the small details. No single feature defined the SUV for us. Instead, the camera system, physical controls, comfort features, and thoughtful second-row touches worked together to make daily driving easier.

The feature we missed most after returning the QX60 was the parking camera. That probably says more about real-world usefulness than another paragraph about dramatic styling.

The Around-View Camera Made Parking Easier

The overhead-view camera was one of the best parking systems we had used at the time. It gave us a clear view around the vehicle and made judging tight spaces much easier.

A large physical button also made the camera quick to activate. We did not need to dig through menus just to check where the corners of the vehicle were.

We even parked the QX60 at a Sonic pull-in spot during the test. Those spaces can make a large vehicle feel like a geometry exam, but the camera system made the process unusually simple.

The Wide CarPlay Display Was Easy to Read

The CarPlay display felt wider than what we were used to seeing. That extra room made it easier to view information without constantly moving between screens.

For us, the useful part was not simply having a large screen. It was that the information we wanted was easy to see without making the dashboard feel unnecessarily complicated.

Physical Controls Were a Welcome Choice

The QX60 also had a physical center dial in the console. Once we learned it, the dial made moving through menus and settings straightforward.

We preferred having that tactile control instead of relying entirely on a touchscreen while driving. The same idea carried through other parts of the cabin, where many commonly used functions still had physical buttons.

The one-touch power-folding mirrors were another small feature we appreciated. Combined with the camera system, they made maneuvering the SUV in tighter spaces less stressful.

The Head-Up Display Kept Information in View

The QX60 projected driving information onto the windshield in front of the driver. We liked being able to see key information without looking as far away from the road.

It was another example of a feature that did not seem dramatic on paper but became useful during normal driving.

The Seat Massagers Added Comfort

The front seats included a massage function. It was not the same as a full massage chair, but it added enough movement and comfort to be noticeable on longer drives.

That feature fit the overall theme of our experience with the QX60. The SUV kept adding small conveniences that were easy to dismiss until we actually used them.

The Second Row Did Not Feel Forgotten

The rear seating area had its own climate controls and multiple power options, including a regular outlet and USB-C connection during our test.

Built-in sunshades were another useful detail. The second-row seats also moved on tracks that made the space easier to use.

For a family vehicle, those features mattered. Kids and other rear passengers were not simply placed behind the front seats and left to negotiate with whatever air-conditioning happened to reach them.

What Stood Out Most in the Infiniti QX60

The QX60 impressed us because its useful features worked together. The camera helped with parking. The physical controls reduced menu hunting. The head-up display kept information visible. The seats added comfort, while the second row received practical attention.

None of those features alone would define the SUV. Together, they made the QX60 feel thoughtfully designed during our 2023 drive.
