Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Review

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar conveyor-belt sushi

We visited Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in 2023, and the conveyor belt was obviously the first thing the kids noticed. Plates move past the table, you grab what looks good, and suddenly everyone is paying much more attention to dinner than they usually do.

How the Conveyor-Belt Sushi Works

The main belt carries ready-to-eat plates past each table. That makes it easy to try a few different things without ordering an entire meal at once.

We liked being able to see dishes before choosing them. It also worked well with kids because the food arrived in small portions and the belt gave them something to watch besides a phone.

Real Crab and Sushi Variety

One detail we appreciated during our visit was the use of real crab in the crab dishes we ordered. The menu also gave us enough variety to move between familiar rolls, sashimi and other small plates without everyone at the table needing to agree on one order.

That was probably the biggest advantage of the format for a family. One person could stick with safer choices while someone else experimented, and nobody had to negotiate a peace treaty over a shared entrée.

Custom Orders and the Drink Robot

The conveyor belt was not the only way to order. We could also place custom orders for specific dishes instead of waiting for something to appear on the belt.

The drink-delivery robot was another hit with the family. It was more novelty than necessity, but that is part of the point at Kura. The restaurant mixes food with little bits of technology that make the meal feel different from a standard sushi dinner.

Desserts and Limited-Time Specials

Kura also offered desserts and rotating specials during our visit. Those changing items gave us a reason to look beyond the regular sushi lineup, although limited-time dishes can obviously change from one visit to another.

Is Kura Revolving Sushi Bar Good for Families?

For us, yes. The conveyor belt, small plates, custom ordering and robot delivery kept the meal interactive without turning it into a full-blown theme restaurant.

The food still mattered, but the format made the experience easier with a mixed group. Everyone could choose at their own pace, and the kids had something fun to follow between bites.

Our visit was in 2023, so menu items, specials, pricing and restaurant technology may have changed. Check the current Kura menu and location details before visiting.
