When we looked at the Mila air purifier in 2024, what stood out was its combination of app-based air-quality information, multiple operating modes and a choice of filters for different household priorities. A July 2024 sale has expired. Features, specifications and filter options can change, so check current product information before buying.

Filter Options

The unit we reviewed could be paired with different replacement filters, including Mila’s Overreactor H14 HEPA filter. Mila marketed its filters for particles, odors and certain airborne contaminants, but performance depends on the filter, room conditions and how the purifier is used. We would choose the filter based on the specific problem you’re trying to address rather than assuming every filter performs the same job.

Smart Controls and Modes

Mila offered eight operating modes when we reviewed it, including Sleep, White Noise and Energy Save modes. Its app also displayed indoor and outdoor air-quality information. Those controls were the more interesting part of the experience for us because they provided more flexibility than simply switching a purifier between low, medium and high.

Design and Everyday Use

The purifier had a clean, minimalist design that was easy to place in a living space without looking overly industrial. Mila also promoted reduced-plastic packaging at the time of our review. Packaging can change, so we would not treat that 2024 observation as a current sustainability guarantee.

Room Size and Airflow

At the time of our review, Mila listed a clean air delivery rate of 254 m³/hr and described performance for rooms around 560 square feet under specified conditions. Room-size claims are sensitive to ceiling height, fan speed, filter choice and the air-change target, so current manufacturer specifications are the better source when sizing a purifier for a particular room.

Noise

Noise varies with fan speed. Lower settings were easier to ignore, while faster operation was naturally more noticeable. Automatic changes in fan speed were useful when conditions changed, but anyone buying primarily for a bedroom should compare current noise specifications for the settings they expect to use.

Who the Mila Air Purifier May Suit

Mila’s strongest appeal in our 2024 look was customization: multiple filter choices, several operating modes and app-based monitoring in a relatively simple-looking unit. Compare the current filter specifications, replacement-filter costs, room-size guidance and noise levels with your needs rather than relying on expired pricing or broad promotional claims.
