With all the talk of food and recipes and getting ready for the holidays, I’m already tired and I haven’t even started yet. I need something quick, easy, and healthy to eat in the interim. Lucky me, MorningStar Farms just came out with some new microwaveable veggie bowls.
We know that microwaveable is quick and easy, but not usually healthy. MorningStar Farms new line of globally-inspired veggie bowls are all at least 11g of protein and 3g of fiber, but not more than 15g of fat or 340 calories. They have an average of 680mg of sodium, 25g of cholesterol and of 35g of total carbs. Although the sodium is a little high, a common factor of frozen foods, the other measurements are excellent for those on a diabetic or weight loss diet.
Each of the new flavor veggie bowls is either vegetarian or vegan. Let me tell you, even though I’m not a vegetarian, I do eat MorningStar Farms products. Their meat substitutes are that good! I also enjoy trying food from different cultures around the world, so this “globally-inspired” line of veggie bowls excited me. They include a traditional style Chik’n Pot Pie, Italian Sausage Bake, Chik’n Tikka Masala, Moroccan Medley, and Japanese Soba Noodles.
