Reactions to the new Little Mermaid Trailer

Disney fans around the world have been eagerly waiting for the new trailer for the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. Finally, the trailer has arrived and fans are going wild on social media. Let’s take a look at some of the reactions.

First up is Twitter user @gurlnico who tweeted, “As if the stress of the Oscars wasn’t enough, we also get The Little Mermaid trailer tonight.” It seems like fans just can’t handle all the excitement at once!

Meanwhile, @GraceRandolph shared a trailer breakdown, saying, “So much great stuff! 😍 and some not as great stuff… 😝 Let’s discuss!” Disney fans are always eager to break down the latest trailers, and this one is no exception.

One Twitter user who has clearly watched the trailer many times is @TheKalenAllen, who shared a hilarious GIF and said, “Real picture of me after watching The Little Mermaid trailer for the one thousandth time since last night.”

@Mikeryan shared a tweet about the controversy surrounding the trailer being shown during the Oscars, saying, “I love all the ‘the integrity of the Oscars are ruined because they showed a trailer for The Little Mermaid’ tweets. I know it flew under the radar but last year a guy on stage got hit in the face.” It seems like fans are willing to overlook anything for a glimpse of their favorite Disney classic.

Another fan who was clearly excited about the trailer is @MediumSizeMeech, who tweeted, “I am NOT ashamed to say that I’m attracted to Javier Bardem as Poseidon in The Little Mermaid trailer, and Halle Bailey was SANGING!!!! #Oscars”

However, not all fans were impressed with the trailer. @andysignore had some harsh words, saying, “I love the original Little Mermaid – I went with an open mind… But my god… The Little Mermaid live-action trailer was AWFUL… The actors all look out of place, the actors look awkwardly green-screened, the real-life sea creatures are UGLY… That’s Sebastian?! No. No. NO!”

But it wasn’t all negative feedback. @HollytWolf had mixed feelings, saying, “The new Little Mermaid trailer is interesting. I feel like the music is going to be AMAZING, feels very POTC, cinematography is weird… and oh my gosh, my poor SABASTIAN WHY. Ursula’s laugh is on point though! This mix of fantasy and realism is just something…”

Finally, @anairis_q shared an emotional response, saying, “My inner child teared up at The Little Mermaid trailer.” It seems like this classic tale still has the power to move audiences of all ages.

The trailer was so highly anticipated that even celebrities got in on the action. Halle Bailey, who plays Ariel in the film, shared the trailer on Twitter, saying, “I’m crying and I’m late 😭💗 but I can’t believe we got to debut the full Little Mermaid trailer at the Oscars 🥺♥️ Here it is ✨🧜🏽‍♀️”
