Founded in October 2019, the Sloomoo Institute started as an interactive 12,000 square-foot experiential space in SoHo, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime, soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights converge with glossy, sophisticated design and contemporary art.

The idea for Sloomoo Institute came to co-founders Karen and Sara during a difficult time in their lives when they were dealing with loss and mourning. Slime became a way for them to relieve stress and find joy in life. They started using slime as a way of bonding with each other and with their children.

“We knew we had to bring the magic and joy of what this was to the world,” Sara says.

And so they did. Today, the Sloomoo Institute has expanded to Chicago and Atlanta, and plans to continue to unleash a sense of freedom and escape in inclusive spaces, whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, around the world.
