The mission of the Sloomoo Institute is to embrace the power of #satisfying through vivid color, the sense of scent, tactile compounds, and captivating visuals and sounds. Founded in October 2019, the Sloomoo Institute started as an interactive 12,000 square-foot experiential space in SoHo, NYC, where hand-crafted, artisanal slime, soothing ASMR, and wondrous delights converge with glossy, sophisticated design and contemporary art.

The idea for Sloomoo Institute came to co-founders Karen and Sara during a difficult time in their lives when they were dealing with loss and mourning. Slime became a way for them to relieve stress and find joy in life. They started using slime as a way of bonding with each other and with their children.

“We knew we had to bring the magic and joy of what this was to the world,” Sara says.

Sloomoo has expanded beyond New York, while the SoHo location remains one of its attractions.

Who Sloomoo Institute NYC Is For

Sloomoo is designed for all ages and is especially popular with families. It is an alternative to more traditional Manhattan attractions, with tactile activities built around texture, color, scent and play.
