Alanis Morisette just debuted her latest video, “Ablaze” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and her daughter basically stole the show. Alanis and her band were all recording remotely and Alanis was with her daughter in her home library with her beautiful blonde daughter right in her arms. She and the band were playing Ablaze off of her ninth album Such Pretty Forks in the Road.
The best part was simply watching her toddler daughter in her arms jumping in and talking about the song and singing and well just being adorbs!
She recently spoke with Rolling Stone about her post-partum depression and it was just wonderful to see this loving mother/daughter moment showing such a real side of her life. This is her first album in eight years as she focused her time on her children. The little ones might not know the Alanis that you and I grew up with but to her she is just Mom.
It’s such a nice change to see the new Covid style of video where people are just letting lose and being themselves and honestly just being happy in their family life. Hopefully this continues as we don’t always need things overly produced.
