Editor’s note: This guide covers Valentine’s products we tried or reviewed for the 2026 season. Seasonal assortments, prices, ingredients, charitable promotions, and availability can change. Check the current product page and package label before ordering.
Valentine’s Day gifts for families do not need to become an elaborate production. A small chocolate box, customized candy jar, or heart-shaped pizza can create the moment without requiring a craft table and three free hours. Taste notes below reflect our experience; they are not guarantees. Anyone buying for a school, child, or person with food allergies should verify current ingredients, cross-contact warnings, and recipient rules directly.
Ghirardelli Chocolate Hearts

Our 2026 selection included Ghirardelli milk-chocolate caramel hearts, assorted chocolate hearts, and a white-chocolate crème-brûlée duet. The individually wrapped pieces were easy to divide among several people or add to a small gift bag. In our tasting, the caramel centers were soft and sweet, while the white-chocolate option leaned more dessert-like. These are seasonal products, so flavors and package sizes may differ in another year.
Sweet Trolley Custom Candy Jar

We used the Sweet Trolley jar builder to create a “Hugs & Kisses” jar. Choosing the candy and message made the gift feel personal without requiring us to assemble the packaging ourselves.
Customization does not make a jar allergy-safe. Ingredient choices, shared equipment, cross-contact, and school policies all need separate verification. The useful feature here is the ability to tailor the mix and message, not a promise that every configuration suits every recipient.
Gearharts Valentine’s Day Gift Box

The Gearharts box we tried emphasized small, decorated chocolates with varied fillings and textures. In our tasting, the assortment moved between floral, nutty, salty, and sweeter notes rather than repeating one flavor. That makes it more suited to someone who enjoys sampling a box slowly than to a recipient who wants only familiar milk chocolate. Current assortments and allergens should be checked before ordering.
See’s Valentine Heart Collection

Our 2026 roundup included the Classic Red Heart, Besties Heart, I Heart You Box, Candygram Box, Milk Peanut Butter Heart, and a Galentine’s assortment. The heart-shaped packaging did most of the Valentine work, while the different assortment names made it easier to choose between a romantic gift and one for a friend or family member. Availability and box contents are seasonal.
Packed With Purpose Sweet Moments Gift Box

The Sweet Moments box arrived arranged for gifting, which reduced the need for extra wrapping. Packed With Purpose markets its boxes around products from mission-driven suppliers; buyers who care about a particular social impact should review the current box page for the included makers and the company’s explanation of each partnership rather than assume every version supports the same organizations.
Chocolove Heart Bites

We tried Peanut Butter Hearts in Milk Chocolate, Salted Caramel Hearts, and Very Cherry Hearts. The small wrapped pieces were convenient for a shared dish or mixed gift bag. In our tasting, the peanut-butter version was the most familiar, the salted caramel added a salty finish, and the cherry filling brought a brighter fruit note. Peanut and other allergen information should be checked on the current package.
Hotel Chocolat With Love H-Box

The Hotel Chocolat box we reviewed combined several decorated pieces in a compact presentation. It felt aimed at someone who prefers varied fillings and textures rather than a single repeated chocolate. Because the exact H-Box is seasonal and the old product URL may change, use Hotel Chocolat’s current U.S. site to confirm what is available.
Lou Malnati’s Heart-Shaped Pizza Package

The heart-shaped pizza package gave the guide a savory option and arrived ready to bake. In our use, it worked as a simple family dinner rather than another dessert. The 2026 package was promoted as supporting Make-A-Wish, but charitable terms and package contents can change; confirm the current campaign details before treating a purchase as a donation.
Which Valentine’s Gift Fits?
Ghirardelli, See’s, and Chocolove work for familiar individually wrapped candy; Gearharts and Hotel Chocolat lean toward varied boxed assortments; Sweet Trolley adds customization; Packed With Purpose emphasizes its supplier story; and Lou Malnati’s turns the gift into dinner. Choose based on the recipient’s tastes, allergies, shipping window, and the current seasonal listing. For more chocolate ideas, see our Ritter Sport and Ghirardelli chocolate picks.
