Chocolove Fall Bites Review

Chocolove’s 2024 fall lineup included Pumpkin Spice Fall Bites and Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate Fall Bites. We tried both, and they take two very different approaches to seasonal chocolate.

One goes directly after the pumpkin-spice crowd, because apparently autumn now requires its own flavor constitution. The other uses the season mostly as an excuse to put peanut butter and dark chocolate into pumpkin-shaped pieces, which is an argument we are perfectly willing to hear.

Pumpkin Spice Fall Bites

The Pumpkin Spice Fall Bites paired Belgian milk chocolate with a pumpkin-spice filling built around pumpkin purée, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. The filling gave these a softer center and made them feel closer to a small seasonal dessert than a plain piece of chocolate.

The flavor leaned sweet and creamy, with the spice coming through more clearly after the chocolate began to melt. The milk chocolate softened the sharper spice notes, so the overall effect was more pumpkin-dessert than spice-cabinet ambush.

These make the most sense for people who already enjoy pumpkin-spice desserts and want that profile in a small chocolate bite. If pumpkin spice is something you tolerate only because society insists September has begun, the peanut-butter version is probably the safer direction.

Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate Fall Bites

The Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate version combined 55% cocoa dark chocolate with a salted peanut-butter filling. We preferred the contrast here: the darker chocolate kept the filling from tasting overly sweet, while the salt helped the peanut flavor stand out.

The balance was also more familiar than the pumpkin-spice version. Peanut butter and chocolate already know how to work together, so there is less novelty involved and more of a straightforward salty-sweet snack.

The pumpkin-shaped pieces and seasonal packaging made them easy to imagine for Halloween bowls, fall gatherings or small gifts, but the flavor combination works even without the seasonal presentation.

Texture and Portion Size

Both versions are small enough to work as bite-size chocolates rather than full candy bars. That makes them easy to set out with other snacks or put into a seasonal candy bowl without turning dessert into a formal commitment.

The filled centers also give them more texture than a solid piece of chocolate. In both varieties, the contrast between the chocolate shell and softer filling is a big part of what makes them satisfying.

Which Chocolove Fall Bite Did We Prefer?

The Pumpkin Spice version is the more distinctly seasonal choice, while the Peanut Butter in Dark Chocolate bites have broader appeal. If you like richer chocolate and a salty-sweet balance, the peanut-butter version is the stronger pick.
