JLab JBuds Lux ANC Headphones Review

JLab JBuds Lux ANC Review at a Glance

We reviewed the JLab JBuds Lux ANC over-ear headphones in 2024 as a relatively affordable noise-canceling option for work, travel and everyday listening. The model combined padded over-ear construction, 40mm drivers, JLab’s Smart Active Noise Canceling and app-based sound controls. Current specifications, app features, pricing and availability may differ.

Comfort and Fit

The Cloud Foam earcups and padded headband were the main comfort features. In our use, the soft padding made the headphones comfortable enough for longer listening sessions without making the design feel overly bulky.

Sound Quality

The 2024 product information listed 40mm drivers. We found the sound full and easy to listen to, with noticeable bass and clear mids and highs for everyday music. Sound preferences are subjective, so that observation reflects our experience rather than a laboratory measurement.

Noise Canceling and App Controls

JLab’s Smart Active Noise Canceling was useful for reducing surrounding noise in places such as transit or busy workspaces. The JLab app also allowed sound adjustments. Those ANC modes and app features reflect the 2024 model we reviewed; current software compatibility and controls should be checked with JLab.

2024 Price and Current Availability

The headphones were listed at $79.99 when we covered them in 2024. JLab still sells the JBuds Lux ANC and currently lists 40mm drivers, Hybrid Active Noise Canceling, Cloud Foam earcups and app-based controls. Current pricing, firmware features and specifications can change, so see JLab for the latest details.
