Disney+ has released the highly anticipated trailer for “The Muppets Mayhem,” featuring the beloved old-school Muppet band in a new era. With the help of a driven young music executive, Nora Singh, played by Lilly Singh, The Electric Mayhem Band comes face-to-face with the current music scene as they try to finally record their first studio album.

Based on characters created by Jim Henson, “The Muppets Mayhem” follows The Electric Mayhem Band—Dr. Teeth on vocals and keyboards, Animal on drums, Floyd Pepper on vocals and bass, Janice on vocals and lead guitar, Zoot on saxophone, and Lips on trumpet—on their epic music-filled journey. The show promises to be a treat for old-school Muppet fans and younger audiences alike.

The show features showcases the band’s struggles to adapt to the new music scene, Nora’s relentless efforts to get the band back in the studio, and the crazy hijinks that only the Muppets can pull off. With cameo appearances from recurring guest star Anders Holm as JJ, “The Muppets Mayhem” seems to be a rollercoaster ride of hilarious mayhem.

The series is developed and written by executive producers Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta, and co-executive producer Jeff Yorkes, and produced by ABC Signature and The Muppets Studio. Michael Bostick, Kris Eber, David Lightbody, and Leigh Slaughter also serve as executive producers. The music is composed by executive music producer and Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee Linda Perry.

Fans are excited about the return of The Muppets, with many taking to social media to express their joy. Some fans are delighted to see the inclusion of new characters played by Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, and Saara Chaudry.

However, not all comments are optimistic. Some viewers expressed skepticism, with one user commenting, “Wonder how fast this gets cancelled,” and another predicting that the show will be canceled after only ten episodes.

But with the trailer promising a wild ride with The Electric Mayhem Band, we’re willing to give the show a chance. After all, who doesn’t love a good dose of Muppets’ humor and musical performances?

“The Muppets Mayhem” promises to be a rock and roll journey that will take us on a nostalgic trip while introducing us to a new era of Muppets. The trailer has left us excited and eagerly anticipating the release of the show. So, get ready to sing along and join the mayhem with The Electric Mayhem Band. “It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights!”
