A useful kitchen gadget should solve a real problem: save space, make cleanup easier, handle more than one job or simply make breakfast less annoying. These four 2023 products each approached that goal differently.

Hesslebach Dutch Ovens
Hesslebach’s Dutch Ovens were designed as cookware that could move from stovetop or oven directly to the table.
The 2023 product information described a cast stainless-steel alloy construction rated for very high heat, with no coating that could chip or peel. The practical appeal was durability and presentation: cook in it, then use the same pot as a serving piece instead of creating another dish to wash.

Kuhn Rikon Smart and Compact Cookware
The Kuhn Rikon Smart & Compact Cookware set focused on saving space and making leftovers easier to manage.
The three-piece set included 1.5-liter, 3-liter and 5-liter pots. Its vacuum-style lids were designed so food could be stored in the same pot after cooking and reheated later.
That is not exactly a culinary revolution, but anyone with one crowded cabinet and three mismatched food-storage lids can understand the appeal immediately.

GreenPan Elite Ceramic Nonstick Waffle Maker
The GreenPan Elite Ceramic Nonstick 4-Square Waffle Maker was built around flexibility and easier cleanup.
The model included two sets of plates so it could make either classic waffles or thicker Belgian-style waffles. The ceramic nonstick surface was the more practical feature for anyone who enjoys waffles but does not enjoy scraping cooked batter out of tiny metal squares afterward.
GreenPan Platinum Silicone Utensil Set
The GreenPan Platinum Silicone Tools 3-Piece Utensil Set was a simpler addition to the list.
The utensils used metal cores for structure with silicone exteriors designed to be gentler on cookware, including ceramic nonstick pans. For everyday cooking, that combination made them useful for stirring, flipping and serving without bringing metal edges directly against a coated pan.
Which Kitchen Gadget Made the Most Sense?
The right choice depended on the kitchen. Hesslebach suited someone who wanted durable cookware that could double as serveware. Kuhn Rikon was more useful for small kitchens and leftover storage. The GreenPan waffle maker was the fun appliance, while the utensil set was the practical everyday option.
None of these products magically turns dinner into a cooking show. They just make a few ordinary kitchen problems easier, which is usually a much better reason to give something counter or cabinet space.
