Old World Christmas Autumn Review

Old World Christmas is best known for glass ornaments, but its fall assortment also included seasonal home items such as the Spiced Pumpkin Crème Candle and a Pumpkin Spice Latte ornament. We tried both as part of the brand’s 2024 autumn lineup.

It is an interesting pairing because one item is meant to disappear slowly as you use it and the other is designed to survive in a decoration box for years. Both, however, fully commit to the fall rule that apparently everything must eventually become pumpkin spice.

We liked it most in smaller rooms, where the spice notes were noticeable without becoming overwhelming. The vanilla helped soften the sharper spice notes, while the cinnamon, nutmeg, anise and clove kept the scent from reading as simply sweet pumpkin.

People who dislike sweet seasonal candles may find it too dessert-like, but anyone who enjoys pumpkin-and-spice fragrances will recognize the profile immediately. It is very much a fall candle and makes no attempt to sneak into the room pretending to be something subtle and summery.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Ornament

The Pumpkin Spice Latte ornament is a playful glass ornament built around a familiar fall drink. The appeal is mostly visual: it is detailed, recognizable and easy to work into a food- or coffee-themed tree.

Unlike a generic round ornament, this one has an obvious personality. You see the drink shape and immediately understand the joke, which makes it a natural fit for someone whose autumn personality arrives at roughly the same time as the first seasonal coffee menu.
