Home Chef’s 2024 PAW Patrol collaboration turned two family dinners into character-themed meal kits: Marshall’s Fire Roasted Tomato Tortellini with Pesto and Rocky’s Ragù with Sausage and Penne. We tried the meals during the promotion, when the familiar Nickelodeon characters gave ordinary pasta night a little extra kid appeal.

Marshall’s Fire Roasted Tomato Tortellini with Pesto

Marshall’s meal paired cheese-filled tortellini with a fire-roasted tomato pesto and squash. The combination was colorful and approachable, with enough roasted tomato flavor to keep the dish interesting for adults while still feeling familiar for kids who already like pasta.

The character tie-in was fun, but the meal itself mattered more. It worked because it was recognizable family food rather than because Marshall’s name was on the recipe.

Rocky’s Ragù with Sausage and Penne

Rocky’s meal was the heartier of the two, combining sausage, marinara, mushrooms and penne. The sausage and sauce made it feel more substantial than the tortellini option, while the pasta kept the recipe squarely in weeknight comfort-food territory.

Families with selective eaters may have different reactions to ingredients such as mushrooms, so the PAW Patrol branding does not automatically make every component kid-friendly. As with any meal kit, the better test is whether the recipe matches what your household actually eats.

The collaboration was a clever way to bring familiar characters into an everyday family routine. Of the two meals, the tortellini leaned lighter and more colorful, while the sausage penne delivered the more traditional comfort-food experience.
