Grey’s Fly Fishing Rods Review

We are a fishing family and I was thrilled to be able to check out one of the fantastic fly fishing combo rods from Grey’s. 

They are perfect for a beginner yet also great for someone more avid.  Here is what we are loving and checking out:

Fin Fly Combo ($269.95-$299.95):  This is one of their new combo options. It features their Fin Fly Reel, their fast action Fin Fly Rod and great (sturdy and easy to use) line and leader. You can use this rod easily for anything from small trout to large lake game. It is a very comfortable rod; lightweight and with easy upkeep as you go through your day on the water. The rod comes in three lengths (8-9-10). The reel options are 5/6 and 7/8.

The handle is cork and the reel is alloy and wood. My husband really was like a kid in a candy shop unboxing this today. I love how the combo makes the perfect gift – your rod/reel all in one purchase.  It made the perfect addition to the charter boat gift certificate I gave both my son and husband for the holidays this year.
