Caga Tió, also called Tió de Nadal, is a traditional Catalan Christmas custom. Families bring home or make a decorated log, cover it with a blanket, and “feed” it in the days leading up to Christmas. When it is time for the tradition, children sing and tap the log with sticks before lifting the blanket to find sweets or small gifts.
That is the part that earns it the unforgettable “poop log” nickname.
