The remaining cast of the best movie in the world, “The Princess Bride” is returning to raise money for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin and Ted Cruz is not happy. I mean, I’m happy that they’re reuniting and I love cast reads.
That said, if you donate to the Wisconsin Democrats, you’ll get an invitation to see the livestream next week, September 13th, at 7 pm. If you’re a fan of the movie and love the cast: Carol Kane, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, Billy Crystal, well, you’ll be happy.
It turns out though that Ted Cruz is a humungous fan of The Princess Bride and even quotes it frequently. So he’s not that happy that it’s being used as a fundraiser.
Ted Cruz just tweeted:
“Do you hear that Fezzik? That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when the six-fingered man killed my father. Every Princess Bride fan who wants to see that perfect movie preserved from Hollywood politics makes it now.” pic.twitter.com/mbUs4y6Ro0

It’s bad enough to be pissed about the fundraiser, but now to have your favorite movie characters blast you is a bit much.
It is my favorite movie and I would love to watch it if I could, but until then, it’s great watching the new twitter war with my favorite stars.
