If your holiday-gift strategy is basically “give people good chocolate,” Seattle Chocolate made that plan very easy with its 2022 Merry Little Gift Set. The box combined truffle bars, jcoco bars and bite-size chocolates in a mix that felt varied enough for a chocolate fan without becoming overwhelming.
What Was in the 2022 Seattle Chocolate Gift Set
Our box included Toffee Sea Salt, Hot Buttered Rum and Candy Cane truffle bars, plus jcoco Orange Blossom Espresso and Himalayan Salt + Toffee bars. It also included milk chocolate pieces and candy cane chocolate truffles.
Because this was a seasonal assortment, availability can change from year to year. The useful takeaway is the range: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, salty-sweet flavors, coffee notes and holiday candy-cane flavors all appeared in one gift box.
Our Favorite: Orange Blossom Espresso
The standout for me was the Orange Blossom Espresso bar. I rarely come across espresso chocolate made with decaffeinated coffee, and this one balanced dark chocolate, orange and coffee especially well.
The 61% cocoa profile gave it enough intensity without overwhelming the citrus. The orange oil and espresso made the flavor more interesting than a standard dark chocolate bar, and it ended up being the one I kept going back to.
Sea Salt and Candy Cane Flavors
The sea-salt chocolate worked because the salt sharpened the sweetness instead of competing with it. That contrast made the flavor feel richer.
The candy cane truffles leaned more obviously seasonal. The creamy chocolate shell and crushed candy-cane center gave them a smooth texture with just enough peppermint crunch to feel festive without becoming toothpaste-level minty.
Packaging and Gift Appeal
The 2022 Merry Little Gift Set came in an illustrated holiday box designed by Frida Clements. Presentation mattered here because this was the kind of box you could hand to someone without needing to repackage it.
The assortment also worked well because it did not depend on one single flavor. If the recipient did not love peppermint, there were still coffee, toffee, sea-salt and milk-chocolate options in the same box.
