El Ojo, also known as Eye Island or Circular Island, is a unique and mysterious floating island located in the Paraná Delta in northeastern Argentina. The island, which measures about 120 meters in diameter, is almost perfectly circular in shape and is known for its continuous rotation on its axis.

In recent years, Circular Island, or  El Ojo, has captivated the imagination of many with its mysterious nature and unique features. Floating islands, also known as tussocks, floatons, embalsados, or sudds, form when large roots end up in the water and aquatic plants start to grow on them. These islands are often carried back and forth across bodies of water by the wind, but some persist for longer periods. In Lake Titicaca, for example, a group of 120 islands are inhabited by the Uru tribe but require constant maintenance to survive.

El Ojo, however, is unique because of its shape and continuous rotation. Argentine filmmaker Sergio Neuspiller discovered the island while scouting locations for a film about paranormal phenomena. When he returned to the site later, he was surprised to see that the island had moved elsewhere. The movement can also be seen in Google satellite images taken at different times.

The island has been in the Paraná Delta for almost 20 years, since 2003, and Neuspiller and an engineer from New York attempted to raise funds to investigate the phenomenon. Although they were unable to collect enough money to complete their investigation, theories about the island range from it being a Nazi base to a UFO hiding spot.

Despite its mysterious nature, El Ojo, also known as Circular Island, is a fascinating example of the natural world and the unique phenomena that can be found within it. Its continuous rotation and circular shape make it stand out from other floating islands around the world. In fact, it is one of the only known circular islands in the world, making it a truly unique and intriguing location.

The island has captured the imagination of many, with some even speculating about its supernatural origins. Whether it is the result of natural forces or something more mysterious, one thing is clear: El Ojo, or Circular Island, is a truly fascinating and one-of-a-kind location that continues to fascinate and intrigue those who discover it.
