A safer way to control insect populations
DynaTrap realizes that one thing we all have in common, no matter what part of the country we live in, is having to deal with pesky insects. You can try to swat them, use cintranila candles, scented tiki torches, insect repellant, or noisy bug zappers. Each has its merits, but some have down sides as well. Cintranila is supposedly not good for birds, and most bug sprays are not safe for pets. Bug zappers and tiki torches may not be ideal choices for families with small children. So, what else is there to do?
No pesticides, no chemicals, odor free, and quiet
A new insect trap, designed by DynaTrap, is on the market. It’s unique in its safe, natural, and quiet operation. It attracts insects such as mosquitoes, biting flies, and wasps, just to name a few, in two ways. First, it emits UV light, which creates a soft glow and releases warmth, both of which many insects are drawn to. The other way it attracts insects is by releasing low levels of CO2, just like humans do. This is of course irresistible to insects such as mosquitos. Once the insects get close enough to the trap, a silent fan sucks them into a containment cage.
It’s easy to operate. All you have to do is plug it in and hang it up. It looks like a little hanging lamp. DynaTrap recommends that you hang it 3 to 6 feet off the ground, and 20 – 30 feet away from you. Empty the cage every 1 to 2 weeks, and replace the bulb every 4 months or so. If you check out their website, dynatrap.com , you can learn more about these safe outdoor insect trap options, and you’ll see that they have many more products, including traps that are designed for indoor use.
