The 14k gold paperclip 16-inch chain necklace by Alexis Jae is pretty and dainty. This paperclip-style chain is fine to wear alone or with a small charm. I had a few charms without a chain that worked really well with this design. The chain comes in longer sizes including 18, 20, 22, and 24-inch. It also comes in white gold or yellow gold. It’s perfect for dressy or dressing down. The classic style is timeless.
I really liked it and it fit well. If you have a bigger neck you might want to get the longest chain as the 16-inch might be too tight fitting.
It’s very feminine in my opinion because it’s fine and not very thick. I’m used to men wearing a thicker chain than this one. They do offer a thicker chain on their website that costs more. Regardless, it’s strictly a matter of personal preference.
The price is $230 for a solid gold 16-inch necklace. It’s a great quality necklace with a clasp that is easy to close.
The necklace would make a wonderful sweet sixteen or a graduation gift. They also make custom jewelry if you prefer something different and original.
Keep in mind that it does take 4-6 weeks to receive your order (unless you decided to add that custom touch in which case it may take longer). Definitely worth the wait but if you want it for the holiday, order early. The company provides free shipping on orders over $250.
