Top 10 Delicious Ways to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in Sacramento, California

By Kristen, Alicia & Paxton of country-pop trio Auburn Road

Not to be dramatic, but besides singing, dessert is our life. We decided to put together a list for you guys with our absolute favorite dessert places in the Sacramento, CA area. We couldn’t possibly pick our favorite, so these are listed in no particular order. We put a lot of thought into this list because dessert is something we take very seriously 😊! “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.” ― Charles M. Schulz

1. Rick’s Dessert Diner

We love the vintage diner atmosphere of Rick’s but more importantly, we love the Oreo Mousse. This place has everything you can think of: cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, and even ice cream. It’s a perfect spot to take your family for a treat, meet up with friends, or a fun first date.

2. Home Spun Frozen Yogurt

This is by far the friendliest frozen yogurt shop we’ve ever been to! The family that owns it is super sweet and, like the name implies, they really do make you feel at home. They have so many flavors and AMAZING toppings (including chocolate covered Oreos and chocolate covered strawberries). We love fro yo because we consider it our “healthy dessert,” until we add hot fudge, marshmallow, and sprinkles but oh well.

3. Gunther’s Ice Cream Shop

Gunther’s was our go-to dessert spot when we recorded our first EP “Fancy” and we love it so much we even thanked them on the album! Whether you’re having a bad day or a great day and just want to make it better, Gunther’s is the place to go. Make sure to try the 50/50 (shaved ice and ice cream aka heaven in a cup.

4. Krispy Kreme– Not just a Sacramento place but we have one and It’s Krispy Kreme. Enough said.

5. Pushkin’s Bakery

If you’re looking for vegan sweet treats that you would have no idea are vegan, be sure to check them out! So good!!
