6. Vampire Penguin
Vampire Penguin is one of the most unique dessert places that we have ever been to. Their menu consists of delicious shaved snow that they have in a series of flavors (a personal favorite is the chocolate with marshmallows). Now I know what you’re thinking and no, shaved snow and shaved ice are not the same thing. Go try it out and taste the difference for yourself!

7. Nothing Bundt Cakes
Another favorite that’s not just in Sacramento but too good not to mention.
Do you ever just want to eat a full cake by yourself but also know you shouldn’t eat a whole cake by yourself? Then you must check out Nothing Bundt Cakes! They have bundtlets (mini cakes) that are perfect for that “I can eat a whole cake” mood. Or you could get one of their normal sized cakes and share with your best friends (which in our case is each of us, fork in hand, fighting for as much cake as possible). We would recommend the lemon or chocolate. Trust us.

8. The Parlor
We’re new to The Parlor but you can’t go wrong with donuts AND ice cream combined. Not to mention it’s all gourmet style ice cream so you can feel fancy while you eat an entire day’s worth of calories in one sitting without any regrets. We know, we did!

9. Cookie Jar
We love to support family owned businesses and Cookie Jar is one of our absolute favorites! They make their cookies fresh everyday and even have a bunch of fun, creative cookies jars covering the store wall to wall. If you go, be sure to send us a picture of your favorite cookie jar! Normally when we eat dessert we never get the same thing but when we go to Cookie Jar it’s always the crackle cookie.

10. Lolli & Pops
The most delightful sweet shops in the world, lots of candies and sweet treats to choose from and an amazing bulk section where you can pick cute containers and fill them with candies to give as a gifts.
