Whole Grain And Healthy Cereal Options For Your Family

I am still trying to keep up with my New Years Resolution to make healthier choices and the fact that I got to try out a bunch of cool new cereals this week kind of helped me keep it going!  I even have the kids trying them and they actually like them!

Barbara’s Organic Original Honest O’s:  This yummy cereal is USDA Organic Certified  and less than 1g of sugar per serving.  It is Kosher, Vegan totally whole grain and Non-GMO.  Not to mention good for your heart and a good source of fiber (you don’t have to admit you think about fiber but you totally do).  My entire household liked this cereal and admitted we could add it into our “normal routine”.

Alpen Muesli:  We are adoring their No sugar added option but I am sure the original and dark chocolate options are just as delicious.  I think I could eat this every darn day; a yummy combo of rolled oats, fried fruit and nuts.  Again with the fiber that you know you need anyhow.  It is kind of like granola if you are a fan; I’m telling you that once you open the box you will never be without it again.

Mom’s Best Cereals Toasted Wheatfuls:  This is your power breakfast.  Your after workout breakfast.  Your post yoga breakfast.  Your “I had a bacon egg and cheese on Saturday and I regret it” breakfast.  This cereal has no artificial flavors, is super low in fat, 100% whole grain, low in sodium and yes….again with the good source of fiber.  Both myself and the hubby enjoyed it and will keep it in our pantry shelf mix.

Organic Weetabix: ok…so this one brought me back to my childhood, literally.  This is a crunchy cereal made with just four ingredients: whole wheat, barley malt extract, cane sugar and salt.  This is USDA Organic, Vegan, Kosher and Non-GMO.  Again I want to mention the fiber aspect.  So yummy and I even got my teenage son to admit he liked it as well.
