Woodloch Pines Resort, nestled in Hawley, PA, is a sprawling resort that has so much to offer. My family, consisting of three generations, stayed at the resort for Mother’s Day weekend.  There are a variety of accommodations and my family stayed in the Mt. Laurel area and our room had beautiful views of the lake. We went with the American Plan which is an all-inclusive package providing three meals daily, a Woodloch Experience Activity Bracelet, nightly entertainment and daily housekeeping.

Dining at Woodloch is comparable to cruise ship dining. The meals are outstanding and plentiful. If possible, the service is even better.  Breakfast comprised up to three courses a Woodloch house made bakery item, a fruit and cereal course and a hot plated main dish. The Woodloch bakery produces some of the best stuff around and plenty of people, myself included, purchased goodies to take home. The French Vanilla Crumbcake is absolutely heavenly! Lunch is just as filling with a choice of soup and salad as well as your main course and dessert. Dinner included an appetizer, main course and family style salad and sides followed by dessert. Besides their baked goods, ice cream is made in-house as well. Main courses ranged from beef tenderloin to jumbo lump crabcakes as well as many vegetarian options that were better than the usual mundane vegetarian choices like stuffed peppers with a delicious quinoa filling.

The Woodloch Experience Activity Bracelet allows you to do a wide variety of activities. You can be kept very busy at Woodloch! There were plenty of activities for all three generations, I believe the people at Woodloch plan it that way.  Every morning at breakfast an activity pamphlet is placed at your table. The hardest part was figuring out what we should do because of all the choices. We played horse-racing games, swam in the indoor pool, frolicked in the indoor water park, rode bumper cars, shot some hoops, bowled, played bingo, and participated in a variety of craft activities. That’s just the stuff indoors, we also went row-boating and paddleboating and took some wonderful nature walks. I’ve never seen my mom so active and happy.
