The Motif Luna Double Electric Breast Pump is a great choice for moms who are pumping for their precious new bundle of joy. Any of us moms that have pumped in the past know that pumping is not always a joy, but the Motif Luna Breast Pump helps make it a little more comfortable. I love the added features that made pumping easy and less stressful from pumping at work to pumping in the middle of the night. The Motif Luna Double Electric Breast Pump was designed with tired moms in mind by working moms, medical professionals, and engineers, and the thought put into it shows.
The Luna is able to be adjusted for the comfort of any pumping mom in a number of ways. There are two modes: Massage Mode and Expression Mode. Massage Mode is gentle and slower to stimulate the breasts to get ready for let down, and mimics the baby’s nursing. Expression Mode is a bit faster paced to help express milk. There are 12 Levels to choose from, so it is easy to find just the right setting that is comfortable for you.
Some of the features I really liked on the Luna made it stand out from other pumps I have tried using. The backlit LCD display made it easy to see my settings and also time I was pumping. The LED Night Light with 3 settings was a definite plus for those night time pumping sessions and did not require me to do it through one squinty and tired eye. Night time pumping is also no longer a worry as this is perhaps the quietest breast pump I have experienced. I did not think it was possible to have a quiet pump, but the Luna proved me wrong. Another nice feature is that the Luna has backflow prevention with the closed system, so there is no worry about contaminating the tubing or pump itself.
The Motif Luna comes with a bottle set that includes: 2 Breast Shields, 2 Silicone Valves, 2 Backflow Protectors, 2 sets of Tubing, and 2 5oz Bottles. The pump is only about 2lbs, and is a slim, egg shaped design. I liked that it slipped nicely into any bag I had, and did not take up a lot of space, making portability a non-issue.
