One man’s fascination with exotic sea salts from around the world has given us some really superior products. I was thrilled to check out an array of items from The Spice Lab a Florida based company rated in the Top 50 Women-Owned Businesses there. First, we checked out “Bacon Rub” and just in time for our recent family gathering. The 80z bag comes in 4 unique flavors: Asian Sesame Sweet & Spicy, Country Style Pepper, Caribbean Island Jerk and New Orleans Cajun. We gave the New Orleans Cajun a try and we couldn’t be happier! Oh; and it was so easy to prepare the ham: 1/4 cup of the rub mixes with 1 tablespoon of water. Everyone was complimenting the strong brown sugar flavor. I was catching hints of cayenne (my absolute favorite) and left-overs were few and far between. An 8 oz bag retails for around $7.95. Definitely worth checking out.
For your next happy hour gathering, “Tequila Salt Shooters” are an absolute must. These glasses are such a pretty pink “quartz like” coloring but are made from food grade Himalayan salt. A super cool fact I learned is that since salt has natural anti-bacterial qualities, they can be uses over and over by simply drying between each use. I just had to try them out; a shot of your favorite tequila mixed with a hint of the sea salt was the perfect party combination. A box of 4 retails for $29.95 while a two-pack will run you around $19.95. Consider these unique glasses for the bar enthusiast on your holiday shopping list.
